Thought I'd but close out this thread with my initial opinions and a couple shots of the Toyo Open Country M/T's.
1. Noise. Only a slight hum on the highway and I really had to listen for it.
2. Stability. Much better than the 35's I removed due to the smaller/stiffer sidewalls. This was an unexpected bonus.
3. Traction. Unknown at this time but I'm expecting good snow/ice traction and excellent off-road traction based other reviews.
4. Cost. $1,020 for four tires mounted with new valve stems, which is comparable to other premium brands.
5. Appearance. I mean dayum...they look great!

Very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend.

I've ran KO and KO2 forever and decided to get MTs for our 80 this fall... Based on all of the research and interviews the two clear favorites for a decent all-season Mud seem to be the KM3 and the Open Country MT. Awesome to see these Toyos on your truck. They just look right on a 60 🤙

Story 1: my parents driveway out in the country has an uphill s-curve that has been problematic over the years especially to 2wd in the snow and to 4wd in deeper snow. Went down there while they were away and decent drift on the driveway, maybe 8-12” deep or so. White 80 has cooper XLT on it with about 20,000 miles. Got stuck on first attempt up driveway. Ok so I was breaking trail. Did another pass to make sure and got stuck again, had to use some locker and skinny pedal and low range to get up and out. My wife comes down an hour later in the green 80 with Goodyear Silent Armors that have 50,000 miles on them. No drama she just pulls up to the front and comes strolling through the front door.

story 2: next day I take the green 80 and pick up a 14’ utility trailer. Green 80 walks up the driveway with trailer in tow.

story 3: day after, I finally plow drive, and the snow melted a bit, and she’s coming up the drive in the white 80 and slides off the driveway into the ditch. Can’t get out, have to use the winch on the green 80 to get it out.

I’m not buying Coopers again. The PO of my white 80 swore by Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 3 and I think I will give them a try next time.

I don't know about the Coopers (you have me rethinking trying them next time TBH) but we put Revo 2s on the 4Runner. Thought they were pretty decent pavement biased A/T, did fine getting to ski areas and stuff, FS roads, not loud. Didn't own the truck long enough to really test in lots of deep snow though. I don't remember if they had the 3 Peak snowflakes but they seemed to do just fine in normal winter duty, better than the BFG KO anyway. Both the BFG KO2 I had before and the Falken Wildpeaks I have on my truck now had 3 Peak ratings and of the two I'd say only the Falkens really deserve it. The Revo 2s may have pre-dated that stuff, though. Also in my research it seems the Revo 2 and 3 have fairly different tread patterns, so perhaps only a worth half a grain of salt. Lots of siping though.

We had one for about a year around 2007-2008 or so. A plain 2005 SR5 that wouldn't quite fit in the Denver garage (you can see the scuff marks in fact) so we sold it and got her the Jetta wagon we still drive around town now.

To the topic, you can see the Revos on it in this photo.

Really like the falkens myself. For the price they have been very capable tires. The E rating makes for slightly lower road comfort but everything is a trade off.

Ahh gotcha.

Those Revos is what I had on my 2000 tundra that I drove to Alaska. They seemed like nice tires.

I've got the AT Revo 3 on my 80 now. I wanted something quiet on the pavement and good road manners. I also tried them on the snow run to see how they compared to the variety of more-toothy treads out there. I am very happy all around. They don't look very agressive but they work quite well so far.

I'm very happy with Yokohama Geolander G015. My 100's summer tire and the GX470's all around tire. Never wheeled it hard.

Two weeks ago I was breaking trail on a steep, windy, un-plowed drivevway in my 80 (on Kenda Klever A/T2 which I am really liking (I just ran Golden Spike on them last week. See my review in www.tctmagazine.net) and Anna followed in the GX. I said "drive like the snow is not even there" and up we went no issue.
