Ok since there was 5 pages of hijacked nonsense  due to my inability to be patient, this is where I post:

So it begins!

Here's what the 4runner looked like after the wreck...

This is the frame damage that pretty much totaled it.

Here is the platform. I may have payed too much, but under the circumstances I think I did pretty good and helped a friend out.

It's got nifty bed ties!

This is all getting torn out this weekend I'll be getting an R151 and t-case from Addicted Off-road that will replace the R150.

Actually this truck was originally sold to some friends of our by someone from Slee. I don't remember who.

A little bit of rust issue on the bed seam near the left taillight.

At least I was in my vehicle when I decided to make it a missile on wheels! Oh wait. Maybe that's not better. Hmmm... Not sure...

Besides I think this was God saying, "NO MORE RED 4RUNNERS!!!"

Remember, you can convert your current 3.4 harness to a manual transmission if you find a 99 4runner ecu. I'm not sure if the Tacoma or Tundra will work yet, I have not looked at the connector breakdowns.

Actually I still have the 2001 Auto harness that came with my current 3.4 and I found a 2001 Taco Manual Ecu on Yotatech. So I will need to do some converting but now I don't need to find a 1999 ECU. When do you think you will be available to help with that?

Oh, I was also in the 4Runner when an undocumented Ford Explorer driver decided red lights were optional. Believe me. Quite the experience. Saved the life of a bicyclist. Red Chili I was heroic.

I think it was God's way of showing His power over adversity, myself... twice now. Just keeps getting better, and it keeps rising from the dead.

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the BABY in the baby carriage. What you think the song is wrong? She'll be peeing on sticks before you know it.

So what are your build plans?

3.4 Supercharged with an R151 Turbo Tranny first, then eventually it will get my Crawler suspension too.

After the engine is done, the RTT will be going on the bed and I might fix the rust issue money permitting and money permitting yet still Line-X the bed or maybe a homebrew roll on bed liner.

Brian (thefatkid) what was your solution to the fuel line being on the wrong side?

Which clutch should i use? 3.4 or 3.0?

Do I need to be concerned about Driveshaft length with the tranny swap?

I know I have more questions for anyone to answer, but I can't remember right now.

You might have enough fuel hose to make the strech to the passenger side. I've seen guys online do this with good results. If not, Parker hose can make just about anything (a 5" extension is what mine is).

I used the 3.4 flywheel, clutch, and disc. The 3.0 throwout bearing must be used with the 3.0 belhousing. I wanted to try a 3.0 flywheel machined to fit a 3.4 disc. On one swap I had a brand new 3.0 clutch so I used that, it didn't have any slip issues (I did sell that truck pretty quick though).

I'm not sure about the drive lines. Measure the tranny length difference when they are sitting on the ground.
