Just so there's no misunderstanding from those Twitter reposts, my personal view is this Court did a lot of good but it's not 100% good. By cutting to the heart of the administrative state wealthy businesses and people will also have the opportunity to streamline their desires, too. The experts in expertology who've built up mini fiefdoms in all these agencies were obstacles to big everything.

For example the environmentalists who we despise for Roadless Areas and comment periods also stood in the way of mining and factory farming (see the development mess in Moab, it's not simply saying "BLM bad"). These industries will benefit from a neutered EPA, FDA or whatever. They won't have the interests of the individual citizen/property owner or family farmer at heart either. It's the same across the whole mess. Much of it started with decent intentions but morphed into the Monster.

So we must still be hyper vigilant that unbalanced influence isn't granted from our bought-off Congress. Bar tenders go into the House almost broke and become millionaires in 2 years on $174k salaries. The system isn't going to magically be free of slime and greed. We hope on balance the potential for good heavily outweighs the potential for abuse as the reality sets in but the system is fundamentally broken and a couple of apparent setbacks isn't going to change it overnight or worse, have the pendulum swing too far the other way and have an unchecked legislative with no balancing executive or judicial.

If the EPA gets checked maybe we can finally buy small diesel pickups and 70-series Cruisers and put an exhaust on our car without being a criminal.

There’s downsides to everything.

We see example after example of government “experts” who really have no idea, and most of these agencies are filled with activists with an agenda. I for one am incredibly happy to see their power taken away. They’re previously allowed to make rules with impunity and the only way for average people to challenge them is to put your entire life on the line in hopes of finding some common sense.

Enough.

It was practically impossible for normal people to challenge it. But that isn't going to change. Watch for a flood of laws that codify most of the worst of (e.g. what is the most lucrative) and see how powerless we are to stop that. The state's gonna state.
