Alright all! Let’s work our cruiser finding magic! My old 62 was stolen out of the five points/ rhino neighborhood in Denver. It’s rusty and has an old confer rack. Let me know if you see it!

Pic of it a few weeks ago. Has different or no plates on it now.

You might take a drive down west colfax in lakewood and see if you can see in the back lots of car dealerships. Quite a few of the sketchy car dealerships are chop shops etc. My neighbors and I got one shut down that was on the end of the block from my house on Depew. I wouldn't be surprised if more of them aren't doing that too.

That sucks big time.

F—king thieves…Hans I hope you find your 62!

I’ll keep my eyes out.

I’m getting ready to buy some AirTags and remove the speaker to put in my 45’s. I’m going to put them in locations that would be almost impossible for someone to find. If anyone is interested in doing something similar there’s numerous YouTube videos.

Hans I’m not sure if you’ve already read thru this thread but maybe something in it will lead to you finding it:

Nope. But he did take the rack off a couple days ago.

I drove around the homeless voucher hotels at 48th & Bannock, adjacent to I-25 and near the big Salvation Army building today. Nothing. I emailed the owner of the truck (the guy Hans recently sold it to) and gave him the following locations to check:

homeless hotel at Speer & Zuni (@Crash if you happen to be going by, can you make a slow lap around that block? that's where I found the last stolen one)
homeless hotels on Smith Rd out towards Quebec
the sketchy private car yards off North Washington, north of I-70 (@Crash where Gonzalo's shop is - another stolen vehicle turned up over there last year)
couple of chop shops south off Smith Rd, east of Dahlia

I agree West Colfax (and east for that matter) have a number of sketchy dealerships where it might be hiding in the back. My gut tells me somebody "borrowed" it to live in though.

yeah I agree, that was not stolen for the parts. It looks like a rusty ole truck that is an easy thing to steal and big enough to live in....

I am gonna go drive Smith rd and then up Washington...

I swung through the couples blocks on either side of N Washington north of the train tracks and didn’t see anything (except the teal 60 with white top that’s been hiding back there for years).

Thanks all! You are right, it's not being parted out somewhere, its being used. Its crusty, but that's its charm!!

Friend of mine had her Grand Cherokee stolen in Denver recently. They found the dude just driving it around town. Even left the plates on it.

So, fingers crossed she comes back the same way she left.

When my 62 was stolen from downtown it was eventually picked up somewhere in Aurora a year later same as it was when it left, fridge still in the back and all. Hope it doesn't take as long for you.
