Drivers front windows squeals when it goes up. No noise going down. Seems to be temperature sensitive .

Have removed regulator assmbly and lubed everything including gear driven by motor.

Have lubed both window channels with silicon spray

Squeal still occurs when first starts to go up from all down position.

If don't take all the way down - no squeal.

running out of ideas - next step replace regulator assembly with ebay part - no reason too but cant find cause

any suggestions - let me know if have fixed this problem

thanks

I'll follow up on my own post.

Although the motor worked fine - removing it from the lift assembly and then running - it should a little roughness when driven in the up direction.

Although this would be a stretch to think it could make such a screeching sound I bought one on amazon for $22 and replaced.

Working great now.- bad motor

I have taken them apart before, cleaned and relubed and it lasted the life of the vehicle.

Follow - up problem.

at first everything worked well - for some reason now when pulling door window switch up fully to have window raise automactically to top it will go up and then reverse and come back down - but not all they way down. Its stops 1/3 of way up.

Slowly raising window to top in increments allows it to go all the way up without reversing. Have raised window to full up position then help switch up for 5 second which is suppose to program to stop at top - doesn't seem to work

Any knowledge out there of what I'm missing. Service manual gives no info.

Thanks

bob

Do you have in track window vents? Something is triggering the resistance safety feature and causing it to reverse. You may need to relube the tracks.
