After delays and plan changes we were able to run spring creek last weekend. Ended up just being myself, @DomOfTheDead and @Dirt Claude. Day started with air down just before 9 at the trailhead. A large group of built jeeps showed up at the same time so it was a race to see who could get out front.
The three of us decided to rush and we took the lead.
The first obstacle is a blast, scary enough you gotta be on your game as any of the lines can have potential for a roll or damage as dom can attest to. Some tires were lifted and muliple lines atempted and before we all made it up without major incident. The jeeps caught up to us right as the last of us was on the obstacle so that worked out perfectly.
We meandered through the woods looking for changing aspens but we were a bit early yet. The rock garden was in my opinion smaller than it has been the last few times ive been on the trail. Not sure if all the rain and snow this year has filled things in or what? All of us cruised it no problem.
We stopped for lunch at the first big clearing right before the turn to head down. I had never gone down toward Georgetown so I persuaded the guys to go this way. Brad warned us of all the switch backs and boy was he right. So so many, but what great views. I like this way best.
When it was all said and done airing up next to the lake we all discussed what a great day it was. Beautiful weather, little trail traffic and zero mechanical issues.
Good day!
