We have some 24-30" with lots of drifting.
I fired up my '84 GMC plow truck last night to plow our private road and while plowing along, the engine threw a rod through the oil pan. It also looks like a piston pin (or something like it) is coming through the timing cover. I think I won't get a core value on this one. I had good oil pressure and got zero warning of this major trucknage.
I towed it home with my '98 4Runner, which wasn't real happy about getting 6000# of frozen GMC moving. When the strap went tight, it felt like I drove into a wall. I had to drag it back to my house, and now I can watch it sit as the snow continues to fall.
Unless I can find a nice early '80s 350 longblock or complete engine soon, I may move the plow to a buddy's '79 F350. On top of my other 67 projects to do.
