Bitter cold didn't stop us from having an epic day on Yankee hill. Group A had 10 total trucks, featuring a nice assortment of vehicle builds and we worked well as a group. I believe group B had 7. We had fresh powder on trail with extremely dense snow pack that gave for some good bashing. The hill climbs made for some fun attempts and required a few strap and winching spots to get everyone over. The large drift at the top gave some good challenge to break through with torrents of wind and snow beating down on us. The remainder of the group that made it up exited back down through Alice and into Idaho springs. Beau Jos was on point this evening, with hot tasty pizza to hungry wheelers. Thanks to everyone involved for such a great day!

Remember those windy days very well up there, glad you had fun. I had to work, but I wouldn’t have been able to go since my pickup has the dreaded clutch bracket crack and clutch master cylinder leaking. My project for today, went out to turn heaters on in the garage and it is 25 degrees out there. Burrrrrrrr!!

That's most of the pictures I got for the trip. Despite the weather it was a great and very memorable trip. The 60 has redeemed itself and finally done the whole trail. Took a few tugs, but that's what friends are for!

Looks like 3g 4runners were well represented on this trip! Wish I could have been there to add to the population.
They were, even had two that were SASed. I think both of em were three linked front and back two, sick rigs.

Great to see a 60 series in the mix. 👍
He surprised everyone tbh. He nearly made it up the snow drift unaided. One attempt he was maybe 1-2' from grabbing solid ground.
