Sorry, I should have put that in the OP, it's a 2004 with the 4.7.
The whole housing is bent. He doesn't have any parts. It's driveable, just munches the rear tires. We don't know how it happened, some jerk sold it to him like that.
I can switch it out no problem for a reasonable price if you get a complete axle+oil+brake fluid. If you just get a new housing it's definitely gonna cost but I can do that too. I'm over by Casa Bonita.
I just went through the same thing a few years back on my 3rd gen runner, not a fun job but very doable if you have time on your side. It took me a while but I had a second truck to drive. If you can find a complete axle with no leaking seals it will be much easier. You may also want to swap out trailing arm bushings while your at it.
