Salvage title 45 frame

Looking for some sage advice… Would you purchase a 45 frame that is on a salvage title? It was salvaged due to an engine fire.

Feel free to make any comments for or against the purchase. Anything I’m not considering?


To be clear my plan for this 45 would be used as a bounce around town/trail truck with the Aqualu parts and others I have already collected (6.0 LS LQ4, 4L80E, NP-205, 60 front Tru-trac, 14 bolt rear Detroit).

I don't know about CO, but here in IA, if you build something from the frame up, you can get it re-titled. A lot of people do this for hot rods, resto-mods, etc. It requires an inspection after it's completed, but you don't end up with a salvage title on your new, rebuilt vehicle.
