Who: As with all Rising Sun meetings, everyone is invited, not just club members. If you have met the requirements, you can even become a member at this meeting.

WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT EXCHANGE

Our annual holiday party tradition includes a white elephant gift exchange. Everyone who brings a gift can participate.

Gift Guidelines
Any of the following make good white elephant gifts:

Something a Toyota aficionado would like that's worth $25 or more

Something fun/weird that you found in your basement or garage or a garage sale or a thrift store

Usable Toyota parts that someone might actually want

Tools

Booze

Adult-only gifts vs. kid-friendly gifts
We will have 2 groups of gifts this year on the tables:

The adult-only gift group will be the place for gifts that contain booze, explosives, knives, ammo, lottery tickets, flame throwers, and other fun toys. You must be 21 years old or older to pick a gift from this group.

The kid-friendly gift group will contain everything else. These gifts don't need to be for kids (in fact, most of them won't be for kids). This can include anything from a carburetor for a 2F engine to scented candles.

Rules of the game:

Raffle tickets will be distributed to anyone who brought a gift. This determines order.

Either choose gift or steal someone else's gift

If your gift is stolen, you may open a new gift or steal a different gift

Each gift can only be stolen once per turn

Gift is locked down at 3rd steal and can no longer be stolen

Can't wait to see you all. Will bring deviled eggs or something similar.

Otherwise I can bring plates, bowls and forks-knives-spoons! I'm happy to get cups but are they needed?

I would say yes to the cups as well.
I did just pick up a 50 pack of bowls, so we should be ok there.
Someone normally ends up bringing a couple of two liters. And I'd rather drink out of a cup than swap spit with everybody else in the club.

No offense y'all.

& I'll bring an 8 year bonded to the pre-party.

We're going to shoot for making it! I also have a bunch of stuff that I can hopefully deliver if the right people attend, so I'll throw it all in the truck too. Not sure what we'll bring, but probably cop out & do store bought stuff since we are going to be running errands after work.
