I'm in. This sounds interesting and fun. Not your normal volunteer run.

I'm going to try to bring by Dad. He will be coming in from Fraser. I will have open seats also. Plus I will ask if my friend Dan from the Springs with his big red 3/4 ton Dodge on 35's with armor and a winch can make it. I'm thinking his rig could be helpful? Not sure...

If you guys don't have armor, don't sweat it too much. We're going to be building trail. So we can have some of the more armored rigs go through first while be build, then we should be able to get the other trucks in.

So far we have:
My truck
Scott's truck
Daine's truck
Jeff's full size truck.

This will probably be plenty of rigs for hauling things in.
However, don't let this deter you from coming out.
We have a large staging area where we can park extra vehicles.

I'm 90% going. The only thing holding me back is I might have to work on Saturday.

Had a good conversation with Jeff this evening, he had just gotten off the phone with Travis. I am 100% in, will be there with my one ton FJ45. One good takeaway from the conversion is that we are not permitted to operate chain saws under CUSP supervision, so don't bother bringing those. Just our usual workday stuff, dress appropriately work gloves, etc. Basically we will be hauling stuff to preposition it for subsequent volunteers to do erosion mitigation etc.

So one more thing.
Jeff has asked that we pressure wash our undercarriages before we drive out in this place. This is supposed to help mitigate the risk of weed seed transfer to the burn area. (Since I don't drive off trail, I highly doubt there any seeds in my undercarriage...)
So yeah. If you get asked if you did it, and you forgot to, say yes. :-)

We are a go for this. I will see you all there. Looks like it should be a great day. Might be a little bit on the cold side, which will be perfect.

Hit some traffic and didn't roll in till 9:30 and wasn't sure where the staging area was. Didn't have service and forgot to screen shot the info :(

Got to see some beautiful stuff nearby though!
