Recommend me a good mechanic

I am in Wheat Ridge and am looking for a shop that can become my go-to.
I know about Slee and also Robbie. However both seem to be buried these days.

Since a rebuild of my motor and/or engine swap is WAY beyond my means just now, I am looking for someone to do a deep dive/ultra baseline on my 94' 80 series.


Oil/filter
Trans service
All new hoses
All new belts
R&R ignition
R&R fuel delivery
R&R driveline (Birfs need replacing, driveshaft and U-joints serviced)
R&R cooling system
New window chases/R&R switches and lift motors(?)
R&R A/C system
Dent in rear passenger door fixed.

Valves have already been done last year.

It's a long list. But because I want to keep the truck I would like to get it all done at one place, and then just kick the engine rebuild or swap can, down the road.

I am hoping to find someone local-ish, but willing to travel for the right fit.

Any help?

ATLR's website stipulates 96 and newer. I didn't know that the last time I recommended them to an earlier 80 series owner.

I thought about recommending Paul, but I don't think that he would work on anything besides a 100 series. If anyone needs work on their 100 though, he is one of the top mechanics for the platform in the country.

Curious about other recommendations.

I need my transmission pan re-sealed (leaking and has a broken bolt) and a steering box installed. Both are pretty easy jobs, but the wife won't let me use ATF or gear oil in our attached garage (smell) and no driveway to work in.

I got some work done at Japanese Auto Service this summer, and without bashing the shop on the internet, suffice to say I won't be going back. The work I need isn't terribly complicated or "80-specific" so even just a honest competent general mechanic would do.

My neighborhood mechanic I used to go to for simple stuff when I didn't have the time is now permanently closed.

You know Slee, so probably don't need this info but Slee is adding a service bay. Last I called they also said if you can leave the vehicle with them a few days they can work it into the mix.

Toy Doctor has had good recommendations as well for basic services.

As far as chains, I've been really impressed with 4WP with stuff like my alignment that other shops botched several times and balancing tires that Discount claimed were perfect (they were not and 4WP nailed it). While they seem to specialize in domestics, my local shop here in Loveland has a few guys who really know their way around Toyota's and have done nice work.
