imho either plan to replace it or don't. On the front rotors I usually don't use the wear swealers. They usually wear down once they start squealing if you don't replace the brakes right away. I usually just check them once In a while. Also the brake reservoir will be low or the light will come on once the pads wear down significantly.

Thanks guys...I bagged it for the weekend and didn't even get on the forum

I probably would have just put it all back together sans the shims and indicators and little plugs had it not been for the spring retainer cup dealyo...Reusing the fubarred one would have made it a possibility for one of the parking brake shoes to come loose in there and that wouldn't be pretty, especially on the highway. I took my time on the DS getting the rotor off, not so much so on the PS :( - In the end it will have a lot of sparkly new parts and be good to go for many years to come. I need to learn how the ebrake dial adjustment works. I looked in the FSM but it doesn't state up or down to loosen/tighten  Backing the parking brake shoes off would have allowed the rotor to slide right off but I didn't want to start farting with it and end up screwing up the perfecting working ebrake :hill: So, I broke something instead...
