so I've driven a 40 before.. and I've driven a diesel 40 before, and a right-hand drive Cruiser. But today I did all three at once, drove a RHD BJ42. that was cool. Also fun to see my 40 in the mirror...

The firemen were out on our recent run, so we stopped for a quick pic.

Going around to learn is tough! Some unsolicited advise. Practice travel speed, looks to me like you're moving too slow and watch your heat. Then work on pushing the welding rod smoothly.

What is the fun in learning on flat? :p Just got a larger cup today, the tacks I did came out better. Waiting on another regulator for back-purge to run it all in.

A big and bulky one...? I am not sure, it is my pops' rig. Not the most ergonomic but I am working around it. The 409 exhaust I TIG'd up on his '52 Ford pickup is still holding strong. Just need to TIG more than once every 5 years.

Since I jammed the thread up with a bunch of talk, here is a pic of what that exhaust is going in...

How to use a 3 car garage....

1. back out all other inferior vehicles
2. Position Fj40 in center of garage.
3. Do stuff to the 40.

Could have used a drone for these as it is meant to be viewed from the corner where both sides can be seen at once. New construction makes that almost impossible now.
