Does anyone know of a shop that can/will press out/in 3rd gen lower control arm bushings? I need to press out the old shells and then press in a set of Whitelines (which have their own shell). I already tore out the rubber in my aborted attempt to install Energy Suspension bushes (despite the entire internet warning me not to...). Alternatively, I have a set of Strongflexes on order from Sonoran Steel, which would not require me to press out the shells.

Although I have the ubiquitous HF 12-ton press, at this point I've wasted enough time, and I'm happy to pay someone to press them for me. Unfortunately, I haven't found a shop that will do it.

If you can't find a shop, you may choose to cut through the metal sleeve with a sawzall so that you can get the entire old bushing out. I had to do this on my LX 470 lower front shock (ram) bushings. Miserable job all around - pressing in the new bushings with the ram in the vehicle was nearly impossible.

This is what I had to do with my LCA's, it's a bitch of a job labor intensive, I got lucky and found a piece of round tubing that was a perfect size match to the hole after I cut two slices into the bushing with sawsall. popped right out after that. Keeping minimal parts during the pressing out is key. I took a gut punch when the LCA launched into me and put on my knees. That hurt so be very careful.
