Did a run up old flowers road west of Fort Collins today. The colors were on full display and the trail traffic was light. There is one decent obstacle on this trail that is about a 3 foot deep rut running downhill across the trail. It took a few tries with open axles but did manage to navigate it. Can't wait to get the 60 on the new chassis with the locked axles. :)

Did this track with @Cruisertrash a month ago. Beautiful country but right in the heart of the Cameron fire burn area, the largest wildfire in Colorado history. As the fire was in 2020 undergrowth hasn’t had enough time to really recover yet, making for a bit of a desolate road and it’s a long trip. Jim made it through the obstacle unlocked no problem. Wish I had driven it before the fire.

Yeah unfortunately that area of the Poudre may not recover in my lifetime. It was a beautiful drive prior to the fire.

As Steve said after we ran that trail “I probably wouldn’t do it again”. I don’t mind it so much. It’s a short jaunt, not far away, mostly tame but that one bumpy hill. Not my favorite trail, but a good one to cure boredom on a free Sunday.

Um, on this, I’m going to disagree with Jim. That doesn’t happen very often but on this one, my thoughts on the day we spent diverge from his but that’s cool. We had fun, ‘nuff said. My turn to take you on a trail that I find to be a good Sunday cruise, man. 👍

It is interesting how we can all have the same taste in (60 series) cruisers, but such wildly different opinions about a trail.
Jojo and I did it at the end of June last year and I thought it was a good time. The trees haven't recovered much, but the wildflowers were beautiful. We brought our portable hummingbird feeders and had a few come up and eat lunch with us.
Maybe it is an early in the season trail...

Definitely agree. All trails in Colorado contain some beauty and have their charms.
