Since I missed the 40s only run I’ll be putting on the hard top or bringing the FJC to this fun event!

Better late than never to get a trail in this summ… year. 😂

With help like this, how could I pass up the opportunity? Thank you @Yarn Cruiser, @DomOfTheDead, and @MountainGoat for the encouragement and strong assist! Yes, I would very much like to try my hand at leading this run.
I would happily take a suggestion about which way to run the trail - it sounds like the more visually pleasing way to go is to end on the Loch Lomond side?

No matter the start location, let's rally at 9am. GRMS Channel 22 (I have an extra radio that I'll bring). I will also bring a couple trash bags. Let's plan to pack a lunch and plenty of cold weather layers
Heck yeah! The only way to learn is to do. My first trail run as lead I didn’t know the trail well and made a wrong turn. We corrected it and continued to have fun. This trail is super scenic you guys will have a blast. Take lots of pictures for us to ohh and ahh at later to, please. We would go with but leave for Moab that day.

I don't have a gmrs radio. I do want to go and will be ready to roll.

I should be there and I have extra radios. I know the trail pretty well.

I'm in. 9:00 is good for me. Where do we meet? Where are we going?

What's a good rendezvous point sir?
The main thing, do you want to start or end in Boulder and work from there.
When we went out on the trail I believe we started at the ranger center outside of Idaho Springs. Sometimes parking there can be busy and it’s a short drive from there to start of trail.
Or you can end in Idaho Springs and grab pizza at the end of the day.

I'll pm you about our meetup options. It really depends on which way we are running it. I like the idea of north to south for a change. :)

I think you mean Blachawk not Boulder.

We could go in from Rollinsville, Apex Valley Rd. (just outside Blackhawk) or St Mary's. The first 2 take us N to S (ending in St. Mary's) and the third the opposite way. I have always gone in from the north but that doesn't mean it is a better way.

On another note, do we have specific maintenance that we are looking to do or is this more of a trash run? Just curious for getting prepared.

I do mean Boulder, this trail connects to Boulder and RS has taken over the Boulder County side of this trail as well. If I remember correctly, from a Nissan Patrol group that has since disbanded. If you guys only wanted to part of it, I don’t know if that would be a problem or not.

My apologies, I have never run it starting in Boulder. Learn something new every day.

No worries, if my tone came off as harsh that was no my intention.

I'm thinking to start on the Boulder side and end in Idaho Springs. I have a growler I need to refill at Tommyknockers, so that's perfect. I can never turn down BeauJos

I believe it's a trash pick up and make notes of what will need our attention in the springtime
