I had the Power button turned off, and I noticed the tech was struggling to get good pulls on their rollers. I really have to get on the gas to get the transmission to kick down, even when in power mode 🤔.

Here is the diagnostic report from the test:

the exhaust is pretty crunchy, so I would be tempted to just replace everything after the front cat, just to make the swap easier.

I truly believe that half (ok, maybe ”many”) of the 80 failures are inexperienced technicians who cannot keep the throttle on our 80s where they need to be. One thing the experienced testers have told me is that the only way they can get the 80s to pass is to ensure the ”power” button is pressed which changes the shift points. Another way to do this is to ensure your “kick down” cable is adjusted correctly to ensure that your tranny downshifts early enough to keep transmission in the correct gear and your emissions where they should be? Just a thought.

Another thought, as mentioned above, would be changing the rear cat if your exhaust isn’t too crusty.

This.
I didn't have the power button pushed in the first test, but did on the second.
Also, I would agree the tech on the second test did a far better job of keeping my rig at the indicated level for the test (I'm one of those people that obsesses over the testing screen).
