Chaco is very amazing. And 4Runner, they definitely did the back way. You have to do that route to see kin klizhin and pueblo pintado.

Mike, did you guys do the 4wd tour of Canyon de Chelly? I'd heard they'd stopped doing that, which is a total shame if they did. When I did (nearly) the same trip with my brother 3 years ago, they still did that, and it was awesome!

Drool. Wow. Perhaps I should adjust my next destination a bit further south.

Did you take the back way into/out of Chaco? That's a fun route.

We did! Even went to the reservation for some real tacos :) (Grandma's Kitchen I think...not hard to find because that is it in town)

We had a few contacts that will take you into the canyon but we didn't think they would let us stay there for the night. Aside from a KOA looking place near the visitor's center, there is nowhere to stay so we headed North to camp.

Awesome pics! Did you guys just happen upon the dinosaur bones, or did you already know where to look?

Just random. John looked down and said, "oh look, dinosaur bones!".

Excellent quality photos - thanks.

I need to clean up my act so I can live long enough to see these places.
