New camera for me

My little Nikon 5200 died the first afternoon in Moab this year. I sent it in to Nikon for a repair estimate. The quote: $163.

It's 3 years old and a 5 megapixel camera, so I thought I'd take a look to see what I could buy new.

I found this Panasonic Lumix TZ3 at Circuit City today. It's pretty cool so far. 28mm wide-angle Leica lens with 10x optical zoom. 7.2-megapixel. 3" LCD display. Optical image stabilizer.

The online reviews are mostly positive, so I'm hoping I've found a good one. On sale at Circuit City for $290.

Nice! It's amazing how compact the cameras are getting.
