Hey guys, I slid off of a road late this afternoon. It wasn't bad at first but tried to pull it out and it slid down more. I am at loss of what my options are here. We got picked up and are home now so that's good. I need to get this out somehow.

If anyone here can help in a any way possible, it would be appreciated. Trying to get people together tomorrow morning. Not sure if I need to call colorado 4x4 or not. I know this group has a lot of recovery experience.

It is located just outside of Buffalo Creek on #550. I am trying to get gps coordinates also.

Following. I know that area well. Friend has a cabin there I look after. Its about 30 minutes from Pine Junction. Its a very good road. Must have been deeper than expected, slid, etc. Plenty of trees to winch off.

I am in no way an expert so this is just my opinion. To me that looks like you need a professional with feet they can put down. The snow on that road looks pretty slippery for any normal vehicle. I would be afraid of your truck sliding into the trees and getting damaged.

That all said, if some of you guys with more knowledge of the terrain want to try tomorrow (Sunday); I could probably get my cruiser up. I don't know anything about the area.

Hhmm. I thought this road had a closed gate on it this time of year. Maybe I'm thinking of a different one close by.
Anyways. What's the status on this? Anyone working on it?

Last year it was for fire mitigation. Typically its not closed seasonally.

Trying to clear up some video. Didn't take many pictures though.

Looks a lot better in the light. Guess the original pictures and me not being familiar with the area scared me a little.

Seems a pretty smart winch job. Using the doubled line to create more pull on the pickup and pulling against the tree to keep everyone safe. I imagine with you winching on the side he was able to drive out and not slide down. Its great to see the community helping like this.

Luckily it rested on a 4" round aspen tree. Stopped it from tipping over completely. Has some damage but it could've been a lot worse. Very grateful for that tree!

Wish I saw this earlier I was free on Saturday and would have come out to help.

Your truck has been getting some good battle scars the last few months.
