I did not like the plastic backed mirrors that came with mine. I went to NAPA with the diameter of the ball the mirror mounts to and picked up some metal backed replacements. Pretty straight forward to change out.

ok what are the Toyota part numbers?

that CCOt site is confusing... I like the ones on top that are more rectangular, but they only sell those as 1 each. When you scroll down to the pair option, the picture of the mirror is totally different, and not as cool looking IMO. I like the rectangular ones towards the top- is that the OEM style?

I need to shed these aftermarket mirrors.. Ige was over on Saturday and made fun of me. :)

The mirrors for your 1982 are 87901-90303 and 87902-90301: RH MIRROR ARM: 8/1976-EOP. Does not come with gasket, though those are available still and the same side-to-side: 87911-90300.
Only the right hand mirror arm is available I guess....

I am running into issues with Stevenson ordering parts for me on any part number pre 1969. They refuse to go the next step if the computer says it is a valid part number but pre 1969. For those parts I call CDan and he has absolutely no problem taking my money.

wow, sweet! thanks guys.. so Mike short answer then is just call Onur? I can do that..

and Matt I have already abandoned period correctness... case in point my 15" rims. Anything I see on an earlier model that I like better I'm ok with, so long as it was on a 40 at some point? I know, tough line to cross... my criteria in this point is they need to be pewter gray, mount to the windshield hinges, be Toyota, and not jiggle excessively. My current setup is 0 for 4 in those respects.

I have the long rectangular mirrors. My only complaint is the rubber gasket around the outside slips off very easily and mine actually fell off in moab last year. So, if you get those, I would put a little super glue or something else to keep the gasket on.

x2, I've made a habit of using some black silicone after losing a couple of them.

We (Cruiser Outfitters) likely can't beat your Toyota insider pricing BUT we have all of the mirror options and arms in stock, OEM and some aftermarket options (newer door style arms for example) here in stock in Utah. 2 days to your door :D

Ok so 87901-60011 is the rectangular one, x2 Put sticky stuff on the outer rim, got it.

Kurt do you also have the discontinued arm for 87902-90301, the 90303? You can put those in my pile, if so.

Aftermarket only, no OEM... yet. I may have a line on some from Aussie.

LH is 87905-90301 (OEM)

We have the arms in black and chrome as I recall.

Just had to do a glue job this past weekend. Used some 3M Weather-Stripping adhesive. Hopefully I don't have to run back down the trail looking for the rubber anytime soon :D

Are these still the preferred mirrors? Is the 87901-55011 just as functional, or more so, since they are convex?

I haven't closed the holes on the door. I left them so when I put the top on I can put the mirrors back on the doors. I should put the screws back in to keep moisture out.
