Just saw this on a CS 4WD shop's website:

Metberry Gulch Opening July 21, 2007

Metberry Gulch will open July 21 for public use. This will be the first time since the Hayman Fire that Metberry Gulch has been open to public travel. This is possible because of a partnership between Teller County, the Forest Service and motorized volunteer groups. With continuing volunteer support, Longwater Gulch, Corral Creek, and Hackett Gulch will open next year. The key to opening the remaining trails will be how well users respect the regulations now in place. As the public enjoys this trail, it should be noted that Metberry Gulch will temporarily be closed the weekend of Aug 18 and 19. Users should check regularly before embarking on a trip to Metberry Gulch for status. If weather washes the road or causes unsafe conditions, the trail maybe closed without notice until repairs can be made or Teller County officials deem it safe.

Good things :thumb:
Predator 4X4 and all their volunteers  have worked hard to reopen the Gulches and this is a great first step!

I haven't been wheeling in that area since the late 80's and I'm really excited to get back.
