We were not looking for UFO's on the Pawnee Grasslands, but with recent headlines, this seemed like it would get attention.
6 trucks with a brief guest appearance by Ige from Wyoming. There is a whole side of Colorado out there. We took routes marked on the MVUM that were hard to see on the ground as well as a few "county roads" that were also barely discernible. Oil and gas production has dramatically altered the landscape the past 5-10 years so its almost impossible to be out of sight of a well, pipeline, or drill rig. That's also because there are no trees.
It makes a good place to drive during the winter because there is little snow. It would be fun to go back out after a storm and bash some drifts, and then again in the spring for an overnight.
