Here is a tombstone from the ghost town of Bryan-

I'm a really poor photographer and the lighting was terrible but it reads-

"Erastus Wilcox Barnum

Died July 24 1883

Aged 29 yrs"


Bryan was a very rough town for it's very short existence. Poor Erastus was likely hanged.

That is a cool pic. Where in the basin is Bryan?

Bryan was not actually in the basin. It was west of the Rock Springs uplift being just west of Green River. I just thought it fit the theme of the thread and it came from the same general area.

Hmmm....he was hung on my birthday. No wonder I get the creepies looking at that.
Whew, need to plan a trip out with you guys one year. I'm loving me some expedition trips these days.
