Nice work! No way I was going to tackle that job with my chainsaw sitting in the garage. I'm embarrassed to say that the only saw I had with me that day was a little carpenter saw. BTW, when I was up there the drifts on the main road in the road cuts were pretty large. Have they melted down to where it's generally passable?

Rolling Pass road is clear all the way to the lake. I didn't go past it to check RP road up to the tunnel as that's not our concern. Lots of campers and fishypeoples.

Hey all, wanted to drop a note and let you know that I did Jenny last night and the work UB did looks fantastic. Everything is clear and not a single spot of snow left all the way up.

Honestly, I'm not even sure a workday in "needed" after UB's time spent, but I'm new to the scene, so I might not have as discerning an eye as you vets.

That said, this was my first time up Jenny and I think I've found the limit of my rig in one or two sections of the rock garden. 2"/1" OME with BFG KO2s just barely makes it over without sliders. I got a few dings on the stock running boards for my efforts. At least now I know what the limit is and have an excuse to start eyeballing sliders now.

I'm in, but I stuck a knife through my hand in camp at Hundreds in the Hills on Thursday, so hopefully I'll be able to wield a shovel and an axe. Driving is OK but gripping anything requiring force is tough.

I will check with mamasita but camping Friday sounds good to me.

Kevin thanks for talking to Kariann and getting the task list, I really appreciate it. I texted her today and am going to give her a buzz to touch base this evening.

So it sounds like there is a decent contingent heading up to camp friday night. I'm going to stop by the FS work center in Ned to get buck and rail on my trailer. I'll be sloooooow heading up there with all that crap. Any way anybody can get there a touch early to get us a decent spot? Maybe the old Antelope townsite is open? That fit us all nicely last year.

The forecast looks decent for the weekend, maybe rain Sat eve. Bring some rain gear.

I'll still plan to be at the Rollinsville meeting spot in the first post to meet people coming up on Saturday morning and will have HAM and CB on frequency's/channels listed in first post.

I'll try to lock down the campsite....at least that's an optimistic plan! It will be an epic "work" weekend as usual. Fire ban is still in effect so no fires or firearms.

We have a family camp out in the area but we're planning to bail out early to be at the meet up spot Saturday at 9am. We'll need to roll out mid afternoon but plan to work hard 'till then. Thanks for getting it set up guys, should be fun and rewarding.

Attendies and tasks

Going through this thread it looks like...

Saturday -
Andy
Smakee
Papa Root
Treeroot
4runner
AJordan
Chillbill
Steve G

Campers Friday night
Marco
Bruce L
Mike S
Jacket
UB
Crash
Squi and she
Robbie and Ty

Our BRD ranger will be Tim Pankey

Marco will be picking up buck and rails and cement from the service center on Friday. Work focus will be replacing vandalized B&R at Yankee Doodle Lake and on Jenny Creek trail mainly at Boulder Wagon Road gate. Some post and cable repairs. Some carsonite posting and repairs. Campsite maintenance including a couple poorly placed fire ring dispersing.
The closed gate at Boulder Wagon Road has been repeatedly breached so that area will be the largest focus. Jenny Creek trail is eroding perfectly for our interest and if we would like to keep it as a nice moderate trail we need to show we care and also make an effort to deter the idiots from breaching into closed areas and wilderness. The rangers like RS and our attitude and as long as we can keep that relationship they will continue to fight for us to not simply close the entire trail to lighten their already thin stretched work force. Great Job RS! Weather looks like good chance of afternoon rain but we should be done fairly early if everyone shows. Gonna be a great time! :thumb::thumb:
