Sorry Marco, I have to head to Cleveland all week and through the weekend on family stuff. Won't be able to make this work now.

We plan to be there on the 12th to help. Will our stock 2016 4Runner Trail Edition make it on this trail?

It will but there are some places on the trail that you could get some tree pin-striping.

I'm bummed to have to miss this one due to being out of town. On the upside, I was able to spot a 60th anniversary edition LC. Kinda makes the 40th ed an antique :)

Looks like a I am free for this event. I ll be driving my 40. Any particular tools needed? Is this usually mostly a trash clean up? Will bring trash bags and basic tools for trail stuff.

Gloves will be the minimum. Shovel and other hand tools are always handy.

COOL!!

I'm getting excited!

I meet with the FS folks thursday and am going to try to run up there tomorrow to check it out.

Like Uncle Ben said, gloves are a minimum, hand tools are great. I'd add a trash bag can always be filled also (kid usually love the game of small trash pickup) so bring one to have with you. We'll likely split up so there will be a few groups running around.

I plan to camp friday night (hopefully the old antelope townsite) and will post the location in the start of the thread with more details.

Originally the FS was planning a sat/sunday event but i'm going to talk to them about keeping it to saturday only.

I'm out this year Marco, officiating a wedding. Things looked pretty good last week when I was up there but there is certainly some work to do.

I got up there yesterday and Drew is correct it is looking really good. I talked to the FS and we have a plan put together. There are some buck and rail repairs near the Boulder Wagon Road gate that need to happen and we need to tidy up all the post and cable near Yankee Doodle as well. Refresh the signage in the kiosk, and put up our adopt-a-road signs. The rest will be trash cleanup.

My plan is to camp Friday night, get done with the wok Saturday, and head home Saturday evening.

How are the posts, Marco? Do I need to grab a few bags of concrete? I will be up in the 80 this year and have my trailer so I can bring up whatever.

That'd actually be great.

The posts are all out of whack, I was going to bring the concrete but if you could grab a few bags that'd be great, then I can get a few and we should have enough to at least do some good and I don't have to carry it all.

I'm thinking 2-3 bags each will be enough.

Each post or from each of us? Karianne asked me to swing by the work shack too for three rails. I'll grab a case of water and toss it in a ice filled cooler also. Anything else?

2-3 bags from each of us for a total of 4-6. There are maybe 15 posts that could use some reinforcement. Kariann had said that her work partner would get the rails but I assume that changed. We really only need 3. If it is out of your way LMK and I can stop by. It is literally on my way there.

I'm heading home to pack and head up there. If I'm not at the antelope site (Because it's full), look near yankee doodle.

Look for my Tan, Rusty, Roof Racked, Faded Rising Sun Trasharoo'd, lifted FJ60 in the area. I may be gone for a bike ride so I may not be with it, just pull up and start hanging out.

If you don't find my truck you beat me!! just find a spot and camp I'll find you!
