Great trip today! Still got some folks up there camping, but had 6 trucks up there (lemme see if I can remember: a GX, 2 Tacos, a Tundra, a 4Runner, and my 81 - correct me if I'm wrong). Started a bit late - let Joseph from the FS know of some campfire smoke we saw and waited for him to make some campers very unhappy.. with a $530 fine.

Fixed the cable fence end post just down the hill for now. We'll need to do something a little more robust to prevent it from happening again next winter (if it's even possible). Picked up a bit of trash, but not very much at all (thank you hikers).

Overall, a great group of folks and I'll never complain about having more hands than we need :) Got a few pictures, I'll post them on the Trail Maintenance Photos thread in a bit.

If you were there, don't forget to your trip in the Trail Maintenance Log!

And this counts towards your dues! At least I'm told. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can fill in the deets.

Did you guys do any post and cable maintenance? I was up there today and noticed a bunch of it down. Also did you guys happen to inspect the winch anchor?

We fixed one run that was down, but that was the only one I was told about and honestly somehow we all missed that run you show... I didn't even know of a winch anchor...

The winch anchor is at the top of the last climb where the road splits to go towards the Boulder Wagon Road and Yankee Doodle lake. I ask because when i was up there a few weeks ago I saw some people wiching off a rock instead of that anchor we placed.

I also notice the buck and rail that was closing off access to Jenny Lake had been moved, did you guys discuss that with the BRD? We typically have left that stuff to the subaru club that had adopted Rollins Pass Road but I'm not sure if they are still active.

Bummer you guys missed that section of post and cable at Yankee Doodle Lake, it typically always needs work as it is placed in soft soil.. Did you guys stabilize the posts for the sections you did work on with bagged concrete? Thats our typical MO.

Next year we need take a hammer drill, set an anchor in the rock by the post that keeps falling down, and anchor the cable to that.
