Let me check my parts pile when I get home tonight. Is yours early (Siamese, pre 69 I think?) or later F?
Here's what I'm rocking. I'm still not 100% if it's 155 technicallyI may have one too from a 1970. I'd have to check.
Ah bummer, yeah only my exhaust is the affected portionI just checked my parts pile, and I have several intakes that would probably work for you, unfortunately no exhaust manifolds, which are are always what cracks in my experience. It looks like your intake is a 69. You are welcome to what I have, free.
I appreciate it I'm second in line but not holding my breath so consider me still on the hunt hahaVendor - Norcal/ Early FJ40 manifold set
Have a exhaust intake setup for grabs. The heat riser works freely. Looks to be in good shape, no cracks. Price update $200 obo plus shipping. I have been using pirate ship postage. Have gotton some pretty good rates. Cause we all know this things on the heavy side. Lol. Cheers KevOforum.ih8mud.com
Probably F145, but looks like head has been swapped at some point with a later one with 8 bolt holes for manifolds, so you can use a few different years. Here's what I'm rocking. I'm still not 100% if it's 155 technically
I have an exhaust manifold. No cracks. The heat riser door is missing and one of the exhaust bolt holes pipe threads are toast but could be drilled out and thru-bolted. Free to Rising Sun member. Before I start the search I figured I'd check here first. Curious if anyone has a spare intake/exhaust manifold laying around for an f-series for a 40....mine is cracked

If you delete the heat riser, Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters has a delete plate.I'll take it! 🙏🏼
Best way to keep the heat riser flap from cracking the intake manifold is to … block it off!If you delete the heat riser, Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters has a delete plate.

Thank you guys I appreciate it! Definitely going to get that plate and try to salvage the old one. Thank you Paul @60ranchero !When working, the flap open helps cold running when first starting up by warming the mixture a bit. But yeah, when it doesn't move it can make the intake too hot. I've never seen a cracked intake though, only cracked exhausts. I had a cracked exhaust I was able to repair that lasted a year or two. I took a thin cutting wheel on an air die grinder and cut a little bit into the crack all along it to expose bare metal, then put the exhaust into a hot oven, then welded it up, then back into the oven for a gradual cool down. It's tough to weld cast iron with regular MIG wire though. At the end of the day it's better to just install an intact exhaust.
