So 'assuming' the broncos game would be a snoozer we headed up to go look at some leaves, we got a late start, no plan in mind, Boreas, Kenosha, Guanella, something to just get out of town and enjoy the air.
We wound up on Boreas, found a neat spur off the pass up the hill that actually required 4wd.
It appeared to be what was a legal, well traveled route near as we could tell so we headed up and found a neat pond with an old mining cabin with a very picturesque view. Vast majority of leaves were gone, but still a great day in the mountains!
