I need to get some heat protection for some hoses, mainly vac and water. I need something like the sheething that is on ps hoses... I really don't want stuff that is sticky on one side and you wrap it around a hose. I'm looking for slide over.

I haven't stopped at napa or on track performance. any recommendations?

go with this stuff, it works:

Earl's flame guard - http://store.summitracing.com/egnse...e+guard&x=32&y=9&N=+115&searchinresults=false

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stor...ode+matchallany&searchTerm=earl's+flame+guard

Also known as fire sleeve, Flame Guard is often needed to insulate fuel hoses in an engine compartment, brake or clutch lines from headers plus oil hoses and control cables from extreme heat. This non-asbestos flame guard has an operating temperature range of -65oF to 500oF, with occasional heat splashes to 2000oF. It is not to be used to wrap headers.
