Does anyone have a link to the list of all of these consumable part numbers? Would love to have that...OEM part numbers for all the required parts for FULL front axle service?

Saul's was going to charge them $1,200. Which is about right for the scope of what he was proposing to do, it just wasn't necessary. They tried to pay me but of course I wouldn't take it, but I did let them take me out to breakfast

I used to have the numbers back when I was in charge of the wheel bearing packing party. Note that drum brake cruiser gaskets and seals are different than disk brak 40s and 60s. I don't know off the top of my head if 80 gaskets and seals are same as 60s -

Thanks but we both know you could have done the same thing, I was just closer than the Springs. It does make me feel good to help out fellow cruiserheads, goodness knows how many times I have been helped out!

Thanks Matt but you could have done the same thing, I just had the time slot/location to be able to help.
I have dealt with Sal almost a year to the day. Seems to know his stuff but overlooks the simple stuff. He was open on Sunday and was my only option.
AutoZone said the battery was good and the starter was bad. Replaced the starter. Didn't work. Took the battery in and had it tested. Still good per AutoZone standards (yellow top btw). Called Sal and bump started it to drive it over. Battery tested "ok" and starter tested poor. $600 to replace with new starter (parts and labor). Worked good for two days. Quit starting again. I said f it and bought a new battery and alternator just to see if it was one of those. 6 mins in the parking lot on an $80 Napa battery and it fired right up. Took the truck back to Sal and had him put my old starter back in (this is not an easy task as it is in a little mouse hole that takes secret jenga moves to get out) and it fired right up. After a little back and forth I got all my money back from him.
He is a feisty one! He was helpful for a guy in a tight spot but seemed a little erratic and pulled in many directions all at once. A simple and quick way to trace down the issue would have been starting with the easy to reach stuff first. I thought I had covered those bases but AutoZone failed me again. If I only had my own diagnostic equipment...
