Infrared video, shot from an Apache helicopter with a 30mm cannon from 2 1/2 miles away.

The guys in the picture are setting up a roadside bomb and planning to ambush an American convoy which followed a short while after the pictures were taken. They were setting up for the ambush and were pacing off the distance from the bomb to where the convoy was to pass by.

Turn your sound up. The level of effort these crews put forth to control the enemy's antics is commendable, and their marksmanship with those electronically controlled 30mm cannons is astounding.

When that was sent to me several weeks ago, it was reported as an AC130 from 2.5 miles away, and was reported to be 50mm cannons. The Apache kinda makes more sense given the length of time the angle appears to not change. The AC130 is a slow plane, but can't hover like an Apache.
