I believe my center carrier bearing is failing on my 98 100 series. I took it recently to Toy Doctor to help diagnose the issue but they came back with nothing.

All that to say, is there a drive shaft shop or good mechanic near highlands ranch that anyone would recommend?

Has an excellent reputation. I took the LongCruiser there once and they said everything looked good. I was going to replace carrier bearings, and I bought parts from them afterwords I discovered how difficult it was going to be and I decided not to do it. They were generous enough to take the parts back.

What are the issues you are experiencing, I don't think the 100 series have a carrier bearing on the driveshaft?

Good question and I’ll say I’m not an expert. I’m an intermediate mechanic at best!

At about 35-45mph I start getting a low vibration and mmmmmmm sound. I can feel it in the pedal. It also feels like something is causing an impedance, like something isn’t running as smoothly or quiet as it used it.

Toy Doctor said I had a stuck caliper. I probably do but that wouldn’t cause the issue I’m feeling.

I called Denver Driveline today and they were very helpful but don’t work directly on vehicles. I’d have to take out my driveshafts and bring them in. I could do that but I don’t have the time right now.

sounds like you could have a U Joint or other drive shaft issue

Do you feel it from the front or rear?

If front,
remove the front drive shaft and engage the center locker. That will help isolate it it. If gone, you could take the driveshaft to the shop above and have them rebuild it. I would specify oem U Joints

If not gone, could be something in the front diff
