fj60 manual window regulator in a 62

I have an early 62 with manual windows but they are pretty frozen up. Is the window system from an fj60 a direct swap to a manual fj62? I haven't pulled it open yet but do I likely need to replace or can this be cleaned up/rebuilt? It's very difficult to roll the windows up and you can feel them slipping a bit when you're cranking them open. I have to help pull the glass up or it feels like I'm stripping gears.

Yes the mechanism should be identical. Several vendors sell aftermarket replacement regulators that are pretty affordable. Make sure the track is good and clean and you arent missing any bolts anywhere when you open it up.
