Both head lights on my new to me 1970 cruiser work only when the brights are on. I have cleaned all contacts including the bright switch on the floor and still no normal headlights. Anyone have insight to this? All running lights work.

Yeah I had the same problem with my 71. I ended up buying a new high/low switch from SOR which fixed my issue. Obviously make sure there is juice at the connector before spending money, a lot of times these types of issues on our older rigs don't need new parts.

Yeah the truck had no power to anything when I picked it up and wouldnt run. Previous owner had rewired a couple things and it looked like spagetti. I pulled all of that out and used all the original wires that were still there but cut. I cleaned all the connections and presto chango almost everything works now and it runs great.

One of the criteria I used when I was shopping for what ultimately ended up being my '71 was a bone stock and unmolested rig, especially the wiring.

Came home last night and found out the interior light worked. Turned it off and back on and didnt work. Haha. Guess it took a while for the power to get there.
