I wanted to do Black Bear really bad but felt it would be best to wait for another time as my tires will be mid way shot at that time and with no locker and half of the skids that I want. I needed time to check in on Thursday so I went with the later run, I tend to be a early bird but I need to change my Friday one since I have to move to another room that morning:( I'm so going to need this after working these next few weeks:D

That is a good set of runs, the Alpine loop is a long day but will be fun.

Your tires, rig are fine for Black Bear, it is an access road, any all wheel drive vehicle can do it. Probably some Front wheel drive only also.

The only thing that grabs your attention is the approach to the switch backs as you drop into Telluride.

If you want you can always try to switch trails when you get there or if it is possible to switch on line and you really want to do it.
