Lets schedule the next one. I'd even do the same route again it was so good!

How about January. I've got a couple free weekends and should be fully back on the road by then...

Matt, I read Finding Everett Ruess by David Roberts last year, also a good read.

David Roberts has several other good books on the Anasazi, southwest, Utah.

X2, my favorite on the subject. My book report here:
http://www.expeditionutah.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3099

I also enjoyed A Vagabond for Beauty, you can read my boom report here:
http://www.expeditionutah.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2863

For those that get into Ruess, there is a festival Escalante each year:
http://escalantecanyonsartfestival.org
Some years they've focused much in Ruess and display his artwork which is cool.

You can also read a neat story about potentially finding him here:
http://www.expeditionutah.com/forum/showthread.php?t=729

PS, we couldn't think of his prized burro's name last week... Anyone remember yet?

What a great trip guys & gal. It was fun to get to hang with you folks and get to know you all better.

I have to admit it was nice to just show up and roll with the flow, Daniel made it all happen and kudos to him for that.

Long live the Outlaws!

He had several burros. There were Peggy and Wendy. One was Pericles, 1931. Betsy was another. Granny (or Grandma)was another. He had Grandma and Betsy at the same time. He had a horse named Pacer for a while.
He also had a dog named Curly.
