Thanks again Jeff. I had a good time. Bi day with a large group and numerous issues for many.

Kenny, I have an extra snatch block. Is it yours?

Yeah probably is. I will check my recovery bag tonight to be sure. Thanks.

Well i had a life moment tonight talking with the :Princess: more about the trail ride. It started because she could not figure out why her one arm was so sore..... hanging on to the grab strap on the roll cage all day. :thumb:

Well the switchbacks i talk about earlier going into Georgetown and the rock i tried to get around and almost went over the side she told me how it looked from her side and why she was FREAKED OUT!!!! When the rock kicked my front to the left 6 inches i didnt realize that half my tire was off the edge and the gravel was going down the cliff from under it...:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Old40Dog was behind me and said he thought i was going over. I did not think much of it till now.

I have a few safety items to add now. Like blinders and shoulder harneses for the back.

Explains a lot of why she was pretty wired the rest of the evening..... Makes me more glad i am home safely.... I have had close moments in my time, like the first hill we hit i almost put it on its side but never like that one. WHEW!

Any more pics on the day? May be much to ask but any of the big yellow thing?

Scott, I have not found my snatch block in my bag so must be mine. I believe its a ramsey unit. Thanks. I will try to make the next meeting to get it.

Hey Randy, is this what you need?

I got an extra since mine needed to be welded and I didn't want the down time.

Great run Jeff, thanks for leading it!

The second group must have had bad driveshaft karma or something like that. The front drive shaft on the Blue Mule separated twice because the front axle got hung on a huge rock and the only option was to go backwards. We were able to unbolt the pinion flange and put it back together but that was a first.

Then as we were departing the rock garden at the very top the white XJ spit the rear drive shaft out with a broken yoke. We removed it and threw a strap on him until we got to the meadow and easy sailing.

Got back to the trailer and noticed a new squeek coming from Meanie on the passenger front. Jacked up the axle on that side and was able to wobble the wheel top to bottom so it looks like the wheel bearing needs some attention. I also noticed a new oil drip under the motor, looks like a bolt was installed wrong on the hydro boost cylinder (pointing up) so when we bottomed out the front suspension it cracked the oil pan . Anyone have a cast aluminum oil pan for a 5.3 Vortec laying around?
