I get the OJ and the last few issues have had articles on a modded Triumph T100, called the Hammerhead Jack Pine. There is a shop that mods these and the cost is 16K, they only do a few each year.

I am not sure about a Triumph as the one for me, but I do like the style and for a barely street legal rig, I see my self riding something like this.
Then again, this bike is exactly what I am looking for and I am not getting any younger!
I don't think a track type bike is going to feel right for me as a first re-entry into the bike world. I think i gotta tap into my roots first.
I grew up dirt bike riding in the high desert of California. Lake El Mirage. I had an Yamaha 80 for my 10th birthday, then a 125. My dad had a 360 Yamaha, we called it Killer because everyone took diggers on it but me and got hurt. we rode with guys that Huquivarna's and Bull Tacos..

You can also see Steve mcQueen jumping a fence in The Great Escape, I think he was on Triumph..
I used to take it out on the salt flats and open it up, then come back into camp and get in a heap of trouble, cause my Dad could see me from camp, blazing across the flats.. funny how as kids you think your parents can't see you when you can't see them or they don't have a beat on what you are up to..
Then my Dad got a Scout II and this was my introduction into off-roading, CBs camping in the desert..
I don't have a time frame right now, just exploring.. I am going to get Ben a bike next year about this time. And my bike will precede or follow.
