Please use this thread to talk about having a caravan coming out to Moab the afternoon of Thursday 3/20. I know a lot of people plan on driving out after school/work, including my 16 year old Connor @SillyCarrot76

I think Connor will be ready around 3ish.

There is a maverick station at the dinosaur park n ride lots exit on I70, the red rocks exit. Could be a good meeting place

If we have a time window to meet at a Dino lot, what time, at the latest will the caravan make the westward move?

We're probably leaving Thursday morning if anyone else is around that time as well. Departing from Idaho Springs.

We'll have the whole crew though all along (spouse, toddler, 2 dogs and the off-road camper), so it may not be fun to caravan with us. We'll be slow and stopping for not only fuel a little more often, but because of the kiddo's bathroom needs.

All that said.. happy to be along with anyone if they want to join. We will depart from Idaho Springs around 10a most likely.

Is anyone leaving on Friday? My 16 year old, Connor, is leaving around 2 on Friday after school, coming from near Wash Park. He has made the drive to Moab several times but never completely by himself.

To those leaving around 230-3p on thursday. would you want to aim to meet at the dino lots by 3p, then all head out? If we establish the group, we can make a group text, and whoever gets there first can drop a pin for the others?

We're taking off Thursday morning around 10:30, coming from the southlands area. We'll be heavy with an old camper and a teenager, so god only knows when we'll be actually leaving and stopping along the way. I'll have my handheld on. Does channel 11 work for everyone, or has another channel already been established?

Channel 11 is a good suggestion, let's use that for the caravans and hq channel. I will also be monitoring the ham 146.460 at hq.
