Hello!

I am looking to "revamp" our Cruise Moab Trail List for 2023. SO now is your opportunity! If there is a trail that has NOT been offered in the past couple of years that you would like to see added please Email your suggestion to TrailBoss@CruiseMoab.com or include your suggestion below. Either way works, but I'd love to see what the general consensus is on trails!

Please keep in mind we can run just about any trail Easter Jeep Safari runs .All trails are also subject to permitting restraints.

With that said send me all your suggestions!

EDIT: I’d like to have all suggestions in by this weekend so we can finalize the trail list ASAP.

I have had some inquiries about adding more easier trails like Gemini bridges to accommodate the Moab first-timers and people wanting a break from harder trails

Gemini Bridges is definitely on the list to be added this year.

I am not sure if it has been done before, some shorter trails to help those that may not have much experience off-road or on slick rock. Really to cover basic off-road skills. My thought is the first day a short run, like the south side of fins and things. Happy to lead this or work out some option at the pre-run with you guys.
One more option would be Dry Mesa.

The 3D trail has some fun stuff. It includes Hidden Canyon Overlook and Bartlett overlook. It is kind of high end intermediate in places, but not really awful. It is easy to string together trails in that area to make fun routes.

Crystal Geyser starting at tombstone rock (the needles) is an interesting trail. It has some very challenging rocky sections and some nice views. The geyser is cool.

A fun long trail is to take Beef Basin road from hwy 211 (road to canyonlands needles) through Ruin Park (tons of great Indian ruins, hence the name), down Bobby's Hole into Canyonlands Needles NP, and out to pavement vua the second half of Elephant Hill. This is long, pretty, and challenging in places.

Lockhart Basin is really fun.

Tower Arch in Arches NP is fun. Approach via the dirt road from Hwy191, then exit on sandy road to Eye of the Whale, and out to 191 on dirt Willow Springs road (passing dinosaur tracks).

I can suggest more if you are interested. I live in Moab. I have GPS tracks for all these.

Cheers,
Michael

Not that I have any hope of attending this year but it would be cool if there was a pre-main event day for first timers, those with rusty skills, etc. to go out on short trails like @Tkoffroad suggested to get skills tuned up and whatnot.

Right now it's looking like I'll be somewhere traveling for work during Cruise Moab. Someday (maybe in 25 years when I retire?) I'll finally be able to go.

Behind the rocks, Gold bar, Golden spike, Where eagles Dare, Poison Spider, Steel Bender and Metal Masher are my go to trails in Moab. I think all of these could be considered. While none of these are easy, none are impossible either. I could lead something.
