Incredible! The new venue was outstanding, and execution on all levels was literally seamless.. tech, registration, vendor night, dinner, raffle, trails.. all just happened magically. Not sure where to even start acknowledging efforts from the Committee, but will just say from my own perspective this year just fired on all cylinders.
And I really dug the new camp scene. I loved BFE, but I realize sideways snow isn't for everyone... so this one kinda took all the good from that then added back in the desert. Sure it was a little dusty, whatever.. you're camping in Moab. Next year I'm bringing more toys for the river, but this is where the event should be, IMNSHO.
Was a quick trip to me, all my schedule could allow this year was drive out Thursday, lead a trail Friday, drive back Saturday. Thanks again Shark Bait for riding with me on the trail, was good to catch up. And I got to wheel the GX for the first time, she's a little low but the little gal crawled right up anything I pointed her at, and very light and nimble compared to the 100. We started with about half of the 3D Jeep trail, which was kind of fun and new, want to explore more of that... then of course Wipeout Hill, pretty light on traffic all day until we hit the obstacle, then lots of spectators. The "s-turn" section we always hit just after the tunnel hike is closed now not sure why but another fun spur off the list...
I either need more lift, or skid plates, or maybe a little of both if I'm going to keep wheeling it, but we made it back in fine shape. Alright on with the pictures.
