There are couple events I participate in every year, one being the Colorado Gambler 500 and the other is this one: The Rocky Mountain Rambler!

Both events mix stewardship, "rigs", camping and cleanup to your local area in a budget friendly way! Come enter the raffle and check out the event!

Come check out the "car show" and festival if you're in the area!

Facebook.com/RMR500 or RockyMtnRambler.com

I'll be there breaking in my 80 after the lift and tires and check out my buddies lifted Miata and lifted Z3 (as well as the other shitboxes)!!

Rocky Mountain Rambler Main Event 2025
The Rocky Mountain Rambler 500 is an endurance off-road rally that brings together adventure seekers, rugged vehicles, and the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado. Participants take on the challenge in true “beater” cars—cheap, quirky, and far from perfect—making the journey just as entertaining as the destination. More than just a race, the Rambler is a community—uniting drivers, sponsors, and fans for an unforgettable adventure through the Rockies.

I never hear about these soon enough to plan ahead. I’d like to bring the long cruiser to one.

For 2026, the Rambler and the Gambler, two separate events with a lot of ideological overlap, are both the weekend of August 1. ☹️

The rambler will be down in Cripple Creek, I believe. The Gambler will be in Livermore. That’s just a little bit north of Fort Collins.

Red white and blue limo pictured in this thread will be at the Gambler. That’s what I’m planning with LongCruiser.

I’ll start a thread for 2026 event.

YES!!

To whom it may concern...

My group of buddies really like the Rambler organizers, they sorta took over the events from a another group that disbanded the event had been doing it for the last years and have been growing each year, but seem to stay in their back yard of Cripple Creek/Victor area, which has really grown on me!

The Colorado Gambler guys are cool, put a bit more planning into the events holistically and move it every 2 years. This year its back to the beginning where I met some of my best friends up near Red Feather.

Both have their pros and cons, and it really sucks that the COG500 guys picked the same weekend, especially when the Rambler guys picked and published theirs weeks earlier.

That said, my group of degenerates are waiting to see which area is (presumably) the least on fire and will have the most trails available in questionably built cars.

I encourage all to go to either and have fun and clean the trails in your 4x4 or in whatever shitbox you pickup and make look ridiculous. Great weekend and vibes all around. If you see a group of Z3s, a Miata and a Z4, that will be us, please come say hi!
