Ricardo,

Why don't you take me off the list and put TonkaToy on in my place on Saturday. The sliders were almost done, and I put the last bit of paint on to get the back side covered, and must have gotten a bad batch. The paint bubbled up and ruined what otherwise looked great. At any rate, I don't have time to strip paint, prime, and let it cure before tomorrow. Not happy, but what can you do...

I would really like/need to get it done this weekend. My son has Saturday off and he wanted to come with but maybe I will head down Sunday without him. Thanks Ricardo & Randy, I appreciate the opportunity and am looking forward to it!

Maybe Sunday for me?

BJ, sorry to hear about the paint. The switch to Sunday is not a problem. Mitch, it will be good to see you and your son again. I'll put you on Saturday.

Brady, come by and say hi on Sunday. I plan to be there between 9-10am.

Oh you got it! Count me in for Sun.

Ricardo, put me down for diff fluid change X2, overall visual inspection, bolt tightening, beer swilling, witty banter and riveting conversations. :thumb:

Well here we are on the eve of the second weekend. It is a pretty full schedule of activity. I'm planning to be there at 8:00 and am looking forward to a great weekend of getting trucks better than they are today. We could really use a mentor or more for front axles, engine tuning and dif building. If you've got the skills and experience, it would be great if you could come on down and lend a hand. Even if you don't have the mentoring skills, an extra hand to do the pizza run would be nice.

As I think about it, we actually have a head start on some of this weekens work as yesterday evening, Nattybumpo brought down his new H55 and we pulled the H42 from his truck.:D

B.J., much appreciated! Ricardo and everyone else, see you Tomorrow. I dont think I need much to dial it in, other than a little direction. If I were to throw in some new plugs as well, any suggestions on brand/type? I know how some plugs play better with certain engines than others. I have a 'F' engine with about 65k on it.

Wait until we pull the old plugs out to see if they are burning too cold or too hot. That will determine the right heat range plug to buy. As long as they are name brand it really doesn't matter who makes them as long as you get the right heat range.

Well bummer, I'm out for Sunday too. I won't have enough time to get everything prepped. Have fun everybody. Randy, I'll bring a spool of wire next time; or Scott, if you want to pick up some .030 solid-core I'll just pay you back.

Ricardo - any chance I can switch to tomorrow (Sat)? My Sunday got full and Saturday opened up. Not a huge deal if not - thought I would check.
Thanks.

I've updated Sunday to open the slot.

Ray, continue to monitor the thread. I'll keep it up to date through when I leave in the morning, if there is a Saturday cancelletion - we'll put you in that slot. Also, send me a PM with your phone number and if there is a cancellation and/or we get an open slot in the garage, I will give you a call.

With the Saturday activity, mentors are a consideration (we are lighter thanI would like this area) and the other primary one is the weather. That is to say, the tune up work and valve adjustment can be done in the drive but with the weather outlook not being great for tommorrow it would be good not to have anyone have to work in the elements.

Ricardo,

You can give my Saturday spot to Ray and I will just come on Sunday if this works. Looks like it may be a little warmer drive for me on Sunday morning without a top on the FJ.

Thanks,
Evan

I picked up a 10lb spool of wire today, but still can't make it down on Sunday. Anyone from Evergreen/Conifer area headed to Randy's?

No rush, I'm sure we'll be fine for now, we'll just put it into inventory when you do make it down.
