MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! We're having a rock crawl challenge at the OHV Expo on April 14th and 15th at the National Western Complex.
COHVCO has joined forces with CoA4WDCI to put on a rock crawl competition at this years OHV Expo. In order to participate, you must be a paid member of a club that is a member of the CoA4WDCI no later than February 15th, 2007. OR you can become a paid Associate Member of CoA4WDCI by February 15th, 2007.
How it works:
Each club has the option to choose one vehicle/driver combo to compete in the Super Stock Class, and one vehicle/driver combo to compete in the Super Modified Class, totaling two vehicles at the event per club. (Drivers are allowed to have spotters.) Associate Members of CoA4WDCI will have 2 participants chosen from its membership. Clubs will determine how the participants for their club are chosen. Club President or Vice President will need to contact Valerie Douglas with COHVCO (vdouglas@cohvco.org) to add the clubs participant names to the entry list and receive an entry form and waivers to be filled out and returned to her.
Participants are expected to compete both Saturday and Sunday and they are expected to be at the drivers meeting. (Note to participants: Only drivers and spotters are allowed in through the back gate, family members and friends must pay to go to the Expo.) Participants will drive two courses. The points system is on the attached PDF. We will be scoring this similar to golf: the lower the score, the higher your ranking. Participants exceeding +40 points have been considered to "point out" of a course. See the attached for full details. This event is purely volunteer and you will not be compensated for fuel, time, money or damage to your vehicle.
Club participants are encouraged to bring their club banners and logos so they can be hung around the arena to promote your club.
The PRIZE:
First place for each class:
Not only will you be crowed champion of your class for first place, but you'll also get an absolutely amazing traveling trophy that will be awarded each year to the winner. 2007 is the inaugural year, so you want to be the first to win and go down in the history books!
Second through fifth place will also be awarded great prizes.
