Your Minolta lenses won't work with Canon EOS will they? Are you going to sell the whole setup? (Not interested, just wondering).

No the Minolta lenses will not work. Not planning on selling the Minolta as A) it was a gift and B) It will be nice to have a back up (the Minolta still works like a champ)

Now you need a nicer truck to carry it in....

Any lenses?

Tom- you shoot Canon too? I got me a (now seemingly inferior) Xsi a few months ago.

Thanks, i'm getting excited about it, guess we need to plan a trip here soon (X-mas trip not going to heppen:( )

Any lenses?

The second box had a 18-135 (among other stuff). Figure i'll play with this one for a while and get to lear the camera before I start purchasing more lenses.

Going to be a fun year:cool:

That camera and a press pass will get you everywhere. I have all Nikon stuff so can't help there.

Now on this one you will need to read the manual. I would also suggest getting a supplemental aftermarket manual as well. The users say things better than the manufacturer.

Happy shooting.

I do shoot Canon, I got a 20D when they just came out to replace 10D. I have several lenses, some that I may be selling. Also the body possibly, I really want to get the one that shoots HD video.

Congrats Perry, If you can save up for the L series. You will love the difference. If you want to go shooting sometime i can bring the lot for you to try out. 28-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8, 85 1.8, 17-40 4.0. I used a 35--135 for for my weddings way back when and when i got my first L lens you wont believe the sharpness and contrast difference. Canon ROCKS!

Man, that sure is a good list of lenses:cool:. Between you and Tom, I should be able to get a taste for what lenses I like:thumb::beer:

And I think the new Camera will be making a showing at the X-mas party tonight...

Here's a Canon 7D stills time lapse shot in Tokyo. It's worth the 2 minutes to watch. One of the coolest parts is at about 1:58 when the time lapse includes airplanes landing.

Doesn't seem to work with Firefox, but looks awesome in IE 8.

That 7D seems like it can do anything!
