Never did post this.

I ordered this bike a long time back for unbound last year. I got it the day before I left thurs night. I had most of the parts but because I was building a mullet there were a few things I had to sort out with the frame. I couldn’t get all the di2 parts at that time either so GRX with 1x XT. Have all the parts for the move to di2 now.

I had to use the yo at Unbound. The original gravel bike. Unbound was the most fun I’ve had on a bike in a while. I got a flat 15 or 20miles in lost my group and then reset expectations and enjoyed the day.

The paint job is the old fat chance team paint from ‘92ish. I did get it built up last summer and rode Robidoux Rendezvous 67. Great event up in Scottsbluff NE. There are no easily miles in the Nebraska wind. Carlton and I rode this event along with another friend of his. As I rode to the start line I picked up a roofing nail. Pulled it 10 min before the start and inserted a dynaplug that lasted the whole race. They also have a short single track section mixing in MTB. Robidoux was where settlers followed the river along the Oregon trail.

Next up last summer was crusher. Yeah crusher in the tusher. I didn’t feel good that morning and while it’s tough to say I missed the cut off by less than a min. It’s all climbing and it’s fn hot. It’s harder than Leadville imho. I’ll be back. Izzy King like the Fat!

Whats that backpack contraption you have, I've seen a bunch of folks with that this year.

You seem to be getting out a bunch thats bad ass.

Also thanks for the pics, fantastic. Looks like you've got a big cassette on the back also?

My tire story is this year on the white rim, slashed the tire at mile 60. Patched with a inner tube patch and a few dolla bills. lasted the rest of the way. Sometimes ya get lucky, glad you were lucky!

oopfh, that's a nasty gash. Cash or bar wrappers if you don't have a boot :) Good thing it held for you!!

It's a 1x shimano 11-46. The pack is the uswe, essentially it's a camelback with more support. I'm going to let wyatt ride the Cross this year at Unbound since i didn't get in. I might go out to Rubidoux again but the only thing i have on the calendar is Steamboat Gravel. My summer was too busy training and riding last year and not concentrating on one event. I suffered at Crusher and learned my lesson. I don't have the pro's time to ride :( One race a year is probably plenty :)
