Best Dealership for service? (New Toyota)

Greetings, I purchased a new Toyota Corolla recently. The maintenance/warranty package I received allows me to get and work done at a dealership of my choice.

Wondering if any other new Toyota vehicle owners could recommend a dealership with quality work and customer service.

Thanks!

I've heard good things about Groove Toyota.

Do you know which one? Actually purchased my vehicle from groove off Broadway. Just read some interesting reviews of the service dept. and wasn't sure about it.

Paul the 100 guru, 2001LC on Mud, recommended them to me several times. He's down in Centennial and I thought there were multiple locations but I only see the one on Broadway

I've had bad experiences at Stevinson East but better at Stevinson West

Personally, I would try the closest one to where you live. It is under warranty witj free service I am assuming

I am sure there are good stories and bad stories for each dealer. I have both for Autonation but would still use them for warranty work. For non warranty work I go to an independent provider, ToyCar Care in Centennial

We must be in the same area AutoNation off Arapahoe is closet dealership. I also use Toy Car Care for Indy.

Good point. I guess there's only one way to find out.

Same for me when I lived on that side of town.

Same at Stevenson west
Service manager was a belligerent incompetent ass

Boulder Toyota took a 1600$ estimate from him with no guarantee to “fix my problem” and turned it into a one hour shop charge to reset the hvac computer for a brand new car I bought at STW

Bonus was Boulder Toyota didn’t say it was my fault for a missing cabin air filter on a new car bought at STW that had only been serviced by STW

The reason I bought a brand new car from STW was they are a legit club sponsor and I had a great experience BUYING a car there.
In and out in less than 4 hours start to finish.

Only reason I still buy parts there is because it’s close and I like Darren and the parts department.

I look up my own parts buy them online and use STW as a shipping depot

Will never service a car there again
Like ever.

If Boulder Toyota is close it’s the best dealership I have dealt with

I too had a couple really bad experiences at Stevinson West service. It is really hard to find any trustworthy and competent dealer these days it seems, especially with Land Cruiser experience.

I continue to be surprised at the hit-and-miss experiences with dealerships from a company that has always been so focused on continuous improvement. The Toyota dealer here in the Springs (Larry H Miller) is also mediocre at best.

Groove Toyota on Broadway has a guy who has always been kickass in the parts department though. I’ve bought from him since 2008-ish.

I’ve always taken my Yota’s to places other than dealerships for service, always worked out fine. Biggest mistake I ever made was buying an extended warranty, total waste of cash.

ToyCar Care poured oil all over the engine of our GX470, to the point it was dripping off the skid plate on onto my garage floor. Wife took it back, they wanted to charge us for them to clean the oil up and see where the leak was. Which was ridiculous as there wasn't a leak at all, it was their gross incompetence at doing a basic oil change.

At that point I started doing all the work on that rig myself. Dealers are for warranty work and work I don't want to do, otherwise I wrench on it.

Kent at Groove Toyota shepherded me through the gas tank recall on my 60 a couple years ago. He was great the whole way. My only gripe was that the tank took a while to come in - no big deal - but he didn’t call me when it arrived. I had to stay vigilant and call them every week, which is how I found out “oh yeah, actually your tank did arrive, sorry we didn’t call you.” I’m sure that job was low priority for them so I get it.
